Based on X-rays taken this morning at Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine, Paul Hamm fractured the fourth metacarpal on his right hand.
The injury occurred on the parallel bars during the first night of men’s competition at the 2008 Visa Championships in Houston.
Hamm has withdrawn from the Visa Championships. He will have the opportunity to petition to the Men’s Program Committee for the
U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics.

at Reliant Arena in Houston, Texas, after the first of two days of competition. The final round is Saturday, May 24, at 6 p.m. CT.
Scores from both days of competition are combined to determine the final all-around and individual event rankings. All athletes
who competed today advanced to Saturday’s final day of competition. Gymnasts will advance to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials –
Gymnastics based on performances at the 2008 Visa Championships.
